… If I had persisted into full time game development, I would have lost all my savings, my mental health… I’m sad that making great games & promoting them is not enough, that there’s so many games on Steam…

Anyway! I decided to give my passion its rightful place: as a hobby, and not a full time activity.

Everyone’s path is different, and what applies to me might not apply to you. But I wanted to share a bit of my journey, in case it helps if you are in a similar situation! 😊

…I launched the Steam page, I did everything I could to get wishlists.

Since I started making games I naively thought that I would somehow “beat the system”… I would make beautiful games and attract enough players to make a living. I would brush off any negative view of the industry, focusing on making the game & growing social media.

In these past months, I realized that no amount of passion would guarantee any livable income from game development…
