This friend swooped right over my head this morning--not so close I had to duck, but close enough that, startled, I did. Eir talons were full of long grasses & pine needles that fluttered behind em like ribbons. E landed up in the nest e shares with eir mate (just behind this "window" in the branches).
I was so startled (e had apparently been watching me silently for a bit from a nearby snag), but like a nerd I threw up my camera anyway to try & catch a (very blurry) photo.
Even when I have the smallest of projects to work on, I get a deep sense satisfaction from being able to go down to the garage and sit at my workbench on a thing.
I should do this more often. #maker #3dprinting
