Every day me and my girlfriend exchange around 20 "i love you"s.

Some might think: "duh of course she loves you and you love her why do you need to keep telling each other that"

And the reason is: It's comforting.

I think we both have some trust and abandonment issues. And saying something as simple as "I love you" helps us feel safe, comforted and loved.
For us It's not as simple as "yeah she loves me because she does this and that".
Picking up social cues is not something I am good at.

So, sometimes, all I need is her to say "I love you" for my silly brain to understand, that she loves me. 💕
