Reveal the answer to yesterday's poll.
In my 30's, I started attending large Pagan festivals at a clothing-optional site. Dancing naked before a raging bonfire is delightfully primal.
I joined the djembe players at the Shabbat held before my storytelling commencement.
Ornaments needing repair tend to get a special touch (ref pic).
I had however NOT yet written an ad for the cannibal catering service. That's in progress today 🍖

In the strongest communities, each of us pitch in and do what's best for one another. Sometimes that requires a little sacrifice. Sometimes the sacrifice isn't so little.

If your creativity had a mascot or symbol, what would it be?
I'm all over the place. So perhaps something like a chimera. Preferably one that makes people think of darkness, so Baphomet comes to mind. But I'm also aware that most people who know my true personality would never buy into a scary-looking Baphomet, so I suppose it's all about this one that I commissioned from a fiber artist friend.

Describe a statue you have seen that struck your fancy.
I've long been partial to 'Medusa with the Head of Perseus' by Luciano Garbati. Mythological legends can always use a well-placed storytelling kick in the pants, and I think this statue rights at least a few wrongs from that particular story quite nicely.

How did your creativity go this month?
#WritersCoffeeClub 31
In terms of writing, how did this month go for you?
This was a "public performance" month. No less than 3 live gigs as the Sinister Minutes team: gigs are me reading my flash fiction and poetry while my podcast partner Tim improvs music.
We took it another step, and added an artist who improv'd a painting while we were doing our thing. 30 minutes for Magdelena Claypool to get from blank canvas to here.

After a long and dedicated life standing upright, going through a yearly cycle of putting forth leaves, fighting for sunlight and water, and providing a home for countless birds, I finally divorce my roots and earn the option of laying about in the cool water. So what happens? This dumbass decides to roost on me.
Take off. I'm retired.

I don't know if it counts as spookiest, but it's recent and therefore still fresh in my mind. This is "Night Sweats."
