With the deaths of #prigozhin and #utkin, two more major war criminals that have been hounding #ukraine have been eliminated... by their own side.
As the situation in #russia destabilizes, more and more key persons in military and politics are being detained or assassinated by the Kremlin.
The #ukraine war is our final chance to stop #putin without open war between #russia and #nato.
If we let Putin get away with this, he WILL attack a NATO member. There are already preparations to invade Lithuania.
War against Iraq cost the US about 2 trillion dollars. If you moan about the costs for aid provided to Ukraine, imagine the cost of a war against Russia. And that is just money, not including the loss of life.
The arrest of fascist and war criminal Igor #Girkin is yet another sign that the #Putin regime's authority in #Russia is deteriorating in the aftermath of the #Wagner uprising.
Girkin is a vocal critic of the current Kremlin regime, but also considered a "hero" for his crimes against Ukraine in 2014. Arresting him is not a popular move amongst pro-war Russians.
Girkin may face up to five years in jail. How will his supporters respond?
For anyone who still asks questions about who fights a more ethical war in #ukraine vs #russia :
Consider that Russia has ruthlessly leveled entire cities, such as Mariupol, Sievierodonetsk and Bakhmut.
Meanwhile, #donetsk city has been in Ukrainian artillery range for 9 years, and the city is just fine - so much so that AFU blowing up a single nearby ammo depot was major news.
Ukraine is being gentle.
A lot of "concerned" people are saying #Ukraine should not receive cluster ammunitions because they might harm civilians someday.
Meanwhile, #Russia is covering Ukraine in cluster munitions every day - using old Soviet stocks that are much, much more threatening to civilians than the modern, western variants the Armed Forces of Ukraine are requesting.
Pictured: cluster munitions that Russia fired on Ukrainian civilians in #Kharkiv.
Generally speaking, do you prefer villains who are unquestionably evil, or those who are at least partially sympathetic?
Related question: Do you prefer it when villains die or are otherwise permanently defeated, or when they are granted a chance of redemption?
Not necessarily in the same story. You may prefer evil villains and redemption endings, but no redemptions for evil villains. Contradictions are okay here, it's a feels poll!
Prigozhin announced some new victories at the front 🤷🏻♂️
"Our "Justice March" was aimed at the fight against traitors and the mobilization of our society. And I think that we succeeded in much of this. In the near future, I am sure, you will see our next victories at the front."
The terrorist did not specify which "front" he was talking about, but after these words, a famous grandfather must have tensed up somewhere in a bunker in Russia.
