It's surprising that Google released Antigravity to GNU/Linux since day one.
I usually expect these companies to first cater to the macOS and Windows user and then slowly rollout to GNU/Linux.
Anyway, I think I will give it a try, but I am pretty opinionated to Neovim + Gemini CLI.

Well I do think that AI is heading in the wrong direction, companies are making more of an effort to make their models more accurate rather than smaller and less power consuming, but I guess that is how the market is now and I cannot blame them for it but, it will get worse before it gets better. When the AI bubble finally bursts, companies will maybe start focusing on making these models smaller while maintaining results.
When you are developing API's and working with agentic coding tools, make sure to mention how you will be deploying the application in the AGENTS.md.
It helps a lot when the model knows if the deployment will be stateless (lambda/app runner) or stateful (VMs, LMs) and the kind of environment it will be working in like lambda's time and memory bounds etc.

Never forget, the goal of dating apps is not to find you a life partner or even mitigate loneliness, it is to generate revenue.
Do you guys really feel the need for an AI Browser?

A funny case study of the 21st century “software engineering” at its best.
As result of #AWS failure, a number of commercial products stopped working that relied on AWS hosted services. Such as the Eight Sleep Pod beds.
Yes, physical beds for sleeping relied on AWS to work. And it was not some kind of extremely sophisticated “AI” processing, but simple schedule “make warmer”, “make colder”, “raise/lower” etc. All that was controlled through AWS.
When AWS stopped working users started complaining that their beds got stuck in weird positions and users were unable to control them. So yes, a bed say in Netherlands stopped working because it could not retrieve instructions from US server which were sent there by the person physically present on said bed.
And the bonus: each bed sent 20 GB of telemetry data to AWS each month.

@m_franceschetti Is 16+gb/mo a normal amount of telemetry? Can you not do any local compute of “get hot” or “get cold” with a multi core processor and multiple gigabytes of memory? Can’t just repeat the previous nights settings? It’s bad enough that you slapped a $200/yr subscription on things,
I don't get the point of introducing erotica to ai models, especially from a company whose motto is for AI to benefit all of humanity.
Burning runaway to train models to make people confide in something that only feeds the user with delusions rather than addressing real world issues is beyond dystopian.
Might as well support your local OF model rather than this.
Windows 10 loses support today, and a lot of computers can’t upgrade to Windows 11. Linux is the solution, but it can be difficult for beginners.
We’re happy to help! Hit us up by DM, phone, or email and we will help you install Linux on your old Windows 10 machine.
This service will be pay what you want - if you need it free, it’s free, if you want to tip us, tip us.
We’d recommend the following:
- a USB thumb drive at least 8GB in size you can erase everything on it
- a backup hard drive to store all your data, just in case
- an afternoon
Good Linux starter distros:
- Linux Mint
- Elementary OS
- Fedora Workstation
- Bazzite(best for gaming PCs)
Back up the data on your Windows machine by copying C:\Users\ (your username or account folder) to an external drive. If there’s more than one account, copy them too.
Ads blocking is very useful for removing the constant telemetry traffic from smart TVs. Most of the TV manufacturers make large parts of their income by selling your activity data to advertisers. That includes what you watch on your TV. Most of the TVs also collect other types of telemetry data, sometimes sending it every few seconds to the companies.
Essentially they have largely accurate knowledge of when you are at home, what kind of things you like to see on the TV, and what kinds of ads you should see elsewhere based on your TV usage activity.
