Whiting Brothers Motel - Yucca, Arizona - April 22, 2007Credit unknownThis sign along with one for the accompanying Whiting Brothers filling station sat at this exit off Interstate 40 (also a later routing of old Route 66) for many years after the buildings were torn down, making them a popular spot for photographers looking to capture a stark piece of abandoned Americana. All the signs are now gone and have reportedly been taken to museums.

The main sign remains, but the older one on the right has been "updated" with a more modern, boring sign giving the street address and website of the management company.
