Monkey with a keyboard. Former lumper, papermill hand, psychologist, computer programmer, pipe fitter, management consultant, entrepreneur, and shipping clerk - guess I wasn’t good at holding a job. Sooner or later something more or less profound might arise from this. Who knows?

Upskilling, incentivizing, blue skying, and core competencies. Pretty obtuse. Terms of Art or purposeful obfuscation? Jim and Ken tell stories about the butchering of language, why it's done, and how it interferes with real communication. Next time you're in a meeting and hear five of these phrase shout out "Bingo!"

What did he say?

So I don’t like RFK. The view he is imposing on the country contradict established science to a dangerous degree. That said I’ll never make fun of someone taking the time to exercise. In this case he’s setting a good example (even a stopped clock is right twice a day). Yes but, it was only 12 minutes. Yes but, it was for publicity. So what? It’s a good example, better than no minutes, and we each vary in our capacity for exercise.

Indecision can paralyze your business. But making the wrong decision can be catastrophic, too. How do you gauge if you're making the right decision, the optimal decision? Can you learn how to make"better" decisions? Are there tools or techniques to help? Find out the secrets to making sound (or not) decisions. There's a huge reveal in this episode, but you may not believe it!

How much change can an organization handle? Some CEO's believe change, to the point of chaos, attracts the kind of people they want and drives business in a healthy direction. How much change is too much and how do you know when you are approaching it? Can a business be orderly, calm, AND successful?
