A year ago, the TI Retro community lost a shining star when SparkDrummer passed. Since then his son has been involved in distributing his collection and sharing some of the things SparkDrummer made like the Yesterday's News zine.
This week I added this TI CC40 to my collection, expecting to need to do a little cleanup or recap. Imagine my pleasure when it worked immediately.
Some more progress with my z80mc. Whipped up a simple case in Tinkercad to hold the whole 3 card stack.
I should get a prototype card and see if I can build a display card for it
More Z80MC progress. My SIO card is complete and the system can now boot.cpm.
Played an hour or so if Zork and remembered just how bad I am at that game (and also that my text adventure mapping habits are mostly forgotten)
There aren't any more official cards for this machine, but I wonder if I could build something for display output. Or at least hook up a nice battery.
Finished up my Z80 Membership Card and Front Panel card the other day and Ive been playing with it ever since
I still have the SIO card to assemble for CP/M, but even still this is a fun little machine.
Despite some obvious print errors, this came out acceptably, and I like the trapped d20.
