Old souls are no better than younger ones

I cringe when spiritual gurus proclaim they’re an old soul in a way that elevates themselves above everyone else. Old souls—those who’ve existed longer than most—have learned more, but it doesn’t make them better and doesn’t mean they know everything. If anything, their status requires them to give more of themselves to elevate others, humanity in general and all of Creation.
