Wholeheartedly agree @crisis4ever regarding Twitter #ukraine posts. Some have mastodon presence BUT they hardly ever post here compared with their presence on Twitter
I miss most of the voices from #ukraine I've found since the invasion and followed on now broken #twitter and that's scary.

Your’e very welcome! So pleased you could still get to the files. Apparently there is a word the opposite of schadenfreude: freudenfreude is taking joy in others’ happiness…. Good word, although I do love a bit of well placed schadenfreude.

You can try getting ebooks online and adding them via USB to your old Kindle - worth a try. Kindle has its own file formats for ebooks, so need to be able to convert epub files etc to files compatible with Kindle (eg using Calibre or EPubor and the like). i’m still a Kindle addict (2nd gen. apr 2015). Now using my partners ex Kindle from 2018.

Thanks for your great reply Damien. I was kinda worried what your response might be. Good to discuss openly. Lots of discussion on ABC news this morning and am about to read Noel Pearson’s response to Littleproud.
