Today, we were in Quetzatenango for the second validation workshop of the Gender and Climate Change Plan for Guatemala. One of the techniques we use is the elaboration of dreams, using drawings. You can see in the photos a dream of having women's brigades to fight forest fires, access to new forms of producing energy (solar- wind), and houses with solar energy in which they can conduct clean economic activities.
Today our students, Ana and Sophia, participated in the first of five validation workshops. They are fully engaged in this experience, interacting with local communities.
Proudly announcing that our students, Ana and Sophia have arrived in Guatemala to assist in developing climate change and gender policy. As a part of Guatemala’s Climate Change & Gender Action Plan, they will conduct a field trip project for a couple of days under the direction of our executive director, Lorena.
