My side-project https://browserchords.com/ (an app for managing sheet music and tabs) just got a new feature, the ability to rename, delete, and download files from the folder listing.
Renaming ended up being a really hard problem since I have a few caching layers I had to update.
I'm exporting an animation from #blender using #geometry nodes and flat RGB coloring -- but I'm getting a strange flickering on export that is never visible in viewport. Using #eevee for export.
The #node setup basically fills a curve circle with noise-modified points with bezier handles for smoothness.
Anyone have any ideas on why I'm getting this unwanted flickering?
Thanks!
Twitter's archive download doesn't seem to include bookmarks. Or (as far as I can tell) the usernames of the people you follow or who follow you (just their numerical Twitter user IDs).
To get those bookmarks and username lists: you can use the #opensource web archiving tool Webrecorder’s ArchiveWebPage Chrome extension. Log into Twitter and let the tool run for a bit, and it'll scroll & save for you.

if you're a new arrival who's created an account on someone else's server but you have the technical skills to run your own, please consider giving it a try!
folks with experience running rails might try installing Mastodon, but for others who want something simpler, I've been running a GotoSocial server at hey.hagelb.org for the past few months, and it's pretty easy to install/operate
if you're thinking of starting your own server, I might be able to answer questions; happy to help if I can

This post is part of a series on Mastodon and the fediverse. We also have a post on what the fediverse is, why the fediverse will be great—if we don't screw it up, and how to make a Mastadon account. You can follow EFF on Mastodon here. With so many users migrating to Mastodon as their micro-...
Just thinking out loud here.. but should users on mastodon receive a notification when an admin bans an instance on which there are members whom you follow?
My understanding is that instance banning is currently silent & could result in people disappearing from each other's lives just because an admin didn't like the other instance for some reason, and the user would have no knowledge why.
