This happens all over the world. There is a growing e-waste crisis and the Global North solution is to dump e-waste in the Global South by mis-labelling and all sorts of other tricks. Often, e-waste is sent as "second hand" equipment. The whole tech industry is built on a growing cesspit of toxic waste.
