I realized I haven't really shared any of my art yet.

This is the golden llama statuette from Legends of Luisa Llama: The Verdant Slab. It does something very special when you find it on each level.

I was chatting with spouse about a curious disconnect for some refugees who expected Mastodon to be a Birdsite analog.

We talked and came up with this analogy:

People expect they're dumping Coke for Pepsi, a move from one cola to a pretty similar cola.

The reality is that they're going from Coke to aguas frescas. It's a different thing that's not just one flavor, and the closest thing to cola is tamarind. Users bring their own carbonation if they need it fizzy.

Unfortunately, the joint/muscle ache has gotten too much to focus. Beh. Stretching's not helping, which is effing annoying.

This is the last stand of one of the boxes of democracy: the ballot box. With the soap box and jury box, the ballot box keeps a civil society from reaching for the ammo box to defend the constitution as it is--not as the fascists want it to be.

TIL that the "Think of the Billionaires!" economics has been called many names. My favorite is called Horse and Sparrow: Feed the horse (the rich) all the oats (money), and the sparrows (the poor) can pick oats from the horse apples.

In other words, the rich believe the people whose labor they steal should, in effect, eat their shit.

For those not in the know #epicgames started the 2022 #EpicMegaJam about 15 minutes ago and is making its participants wait an hour through their weekly podcast to hear the theme.

While the countdown clock is going.

Literally burning an hour of developers' time.
