Had a great time at #fosdem and came home with many many stickers
WIP: #PureData patch for Variable Stage Length sequencer. (inspired by RYK-185)
Pretty sure it could be done much more efficiently, but it works!
TODO:
- figure out how to implement gate patterns
- use [Phasor] for timing instead of [Metro] or Midi.

Today on Mastodon: lots of images and movies from #nokings protests all over the globe.

Out of curiosity I log in my (dormant) Facebook and Insta accounts to check out the buzz… Crickets. Nothing!
So I do a search… Less then I see on my feed here.

One would think the #Meta #algorithm was censoring it?

Just wanted to share my joy of learning PureData!

Yesterday I decided to hook up my MIDI controllers and for the first time I was using [Pack] and Dollar-signs without thinking too much about them, without needing to look up a tutorial or open a previous patch to figure out “how to get these numbers to do what I want”.

Super basic stuff perhaps, but really encouraging to spend more time on it.

Came across this nice synthesizer at concert hall Bruges.
Pure Data finally clicked for me.
Installing the autocompletion plugin, and switching to a Belgian keyboard layout on OSX so I can type ⌘1 on my laptop, turned out to be what I needed to actually enjoy working with PD.
Here’s my first patch. Still very simple, but I didn’t copy-paste anyone else’s code and made sure I understood every part of it.
Looking forward to learning more.
