@caseyliss For workouts you should really look into Strava. I’ve been using it for years now after getting frustrated with Apple workouts.

@marcoarment Also. I agree TONS of paper cuts. No Pay, Siri, etc.

But I needed a super tough watch, more than Ultra, and this Garmin is good for that.

But Strava is so good, and if you have a Concept2 rower you can link your Concept2 account with Strava.

I always do a workout via the ERG app (Concept2 app) and it adds it to Strava.

@marcoarment RE: Watch workouts and Garmin.

I think the best change you can make is to Strava. No matter what watch you decide Strava is so much nicer and full featured. I walk my dog a lot and it auto pauses when he stops 1000x to pee. Or if I ride my bike to the store and I walk around the store it’s paused till I get on my bike.

I have an Watch U2 that I wear 90% of the time. And a Garmin Instinct 2 for work as a medic. Strava sends workouts to Apple fitness. Both watches work great.

@caseyliss I absolutely LOVED the MacBook One/Adorable. I currently have two in my collection. One that was mine, my only laptop from 2015-2018 (stupidly bought a TouchBar), and one from a client.

I ran so fast to order the Neo right after the announcement. I’m current using a M4 Air, but I just love the small for factor machines. Still missing my iPhone mini.

@gruber TCL used to partner with Roku and used the Roku OS, but for the last servrral year they switched to use Android TV. After Roku decided to make their own TV’s. Sony has always used the Android.

A long winded way to say that TCL and Sony both used Android TV. So the interface is the same. And, in my opinion, is terrible. It’s by far my least favorite TV OS. Remotes are terrible and UI is hard to navigate. Apple TV is a must.

The LG remote can just be used without the motion FYI.

@caseyliss You crushed me today! I was listening to ATP and said that you were a Bulls fan back in the 90’s. Then you said that was 30 YEARS AGO.

That can’t be true. Every Gen X/millennial knows that time is based off the year 2000. So 1980 was 20 years ago and 1990 was only 10 years ago. 🤣🤣

@lzg it is not all bad here’s a quote from Apple’s design chief

I was there for this evening in February 2012—3 months before Hop Sing actually opened—and it was even more mind-bending than Jason Sheehan describes.

When Hop Sing Laundromat first opened, everyone thought it would fail. Instead, it ushered in a new era.
