So this might be the wrong audience, but I’ve been building a Bluesky client I’m really proud of. If you are also over there, check it out!!
So that’s why the logo is very okay. 😁
I haven’t had a full day to work on this, but so far I’m about 6 hours in. Hoping to have it finished in 8 and on the store in 10.
Also, if you want to try Backcast out, waiting list:
I’m trying to move really quick on this. I built and submitted the initial version of Highground to the App Store in a one day.
It’s changed a lot since then, but my goal here is the same - lighting fast development on basic function, then decide if I want to spend more time on it
Provisional* Backcast logo!
*If this app is even mildly successful I’ll pay someone to design something better, but I’m going to use this for launch. I’m pretty happy with it given my complete lack of designs skills.
Here’s the waitlist if you’re interest in trying the app out:

I added the ability to search for a location on maps and add it to your list. (Previously, it was hardcoded to just one location.)
I still need to add a few small functions, like deletion, but v1 is about 80% done.
This is for sure a niche audience, which is sort of the point, but I need to be better about building in public and promoting the stuff I'm working on. If you happen to be interested in trying Backcast you can signup for the waitlist here, or just follow me 😁

Backcast - an app that shows you the past 5 days of weather for a given location, and calculates how likely the ground is to be dry. I personally will use this quite a bit for #mountainbiking #offroading and #camping. I'm also hoping it'll be useful for #hiking and #trailrunning.
Work in progress:
