Happy Easter! Spring...Season of Renewal and Rebirth!
SzΓ©kely Stuffed Cabbage for dinner. My favorite version which uses fermented cabbage leaves stuffed with ground meat cooked with a variety of smoked meat and smoked sausage. Commonly eaten with a dollop of sour cream and brick fired sour dough bread.

New Year’s Day meal: Steak-Frites! With pepper sauce. Used flank instead due to cost but the result was superb! Reverse engineered what they serve at le relais de l’EntrecΓ΄te in Paris from memory (corn on cob was something I added). Happy New Year’s everyone!
Favorite autumnal delicacy... Apple Pie! 250g of full fat butter to 2 cups of flour worked out nicely. In the absent of tallow, butter always rises to the occasion.

Golden Milk

INGREDIENTS

* 1 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk, preferably coconut milk beverage or almond milk
* 1 (3-inch) cinnamon stick
* 1 (1-inch) piece turmeric, unpeeled, thinly sliced, or 1/2 teaspoon dried turmeric
* 1 (1/2-inch) piece ginger, unpeeled, thinly sliced
* 1 tablespoon honey
* 1 tablespoon virgin coconut oil
* 1/4 teaspoon whole black peppercorns

Recommend simmering for at least 15 mins. Add the honey after.
