Last year, I made 26 batches of homemade yogurt and ate probably over 350 yogurt and granola breakfasts (or some variation of that). Since I left the world of laboratory bench work, the kitchen has…
I have a microbiology blog and my most popular post is about how I make yogurt. Recently, I've been getting an email or comment every few days from a random person asking me a really specific thing about making yogurt. I honestly didn't imagine I'd be spending this much time answering yogurt questions when I wrote that. 😂
But seriously, I'll probably plan to do more experimenting with my yogurt protocol and write up a FAQ at some point. Drop your top yogurt questions below!
Seems like all I'm doing lately is reading microbiology books and writing about what I learned on my blog. I finished Everything is Tuberculosis and it was quite a fascinating read. https://microbialmenagerie.com/five-things-i-learned-from-reading-everything-is-tuberculosis/
Friday productivity hack: Go to the library to write so I can use the guilt of being on my phone or scrolling social while taking up a table to stop me from distractions
My email autoreply is basically like "I'm not around for the next couple days, but I'm not sure how long exactly. Because I assume schools will be closed (for currently undetermined amount of time) and I'll be shoveling 2 ft of snow."
Also me: trying to get some work done during a naptime today (Sunday) because I don't want to get too behind!
Every time this gets me.
I pick up my phone to see I have a notification - it's a message from preschool. My heart sinks, fearing an illness and they want us to get him early or something worse.
Then I open it and see a picture of cupcake ingredients. They're asking if it's okay he has this because they're celebrating a birthday.
😌
I'm doing a bit of research for something I'm writing on NF-κB and came across this gem of a paper. I am having this struggle right now. 😂
