My nature excursion to Black Canyon of the Gunnison missed all the violent weather in Denver last week (hail as big as golf balls and damaging tornados in suburban neighborhoods) with the 11000+ ft elevation night time temps dipped to freezing and then 60 mph winds kicked in last Friday which made us return to Denver
