Azazel has pretty severe claustrophobia. He can’t even be in a normal-sized room if all the doors and windows are closed. It’s significant because he has few insecurities otherwise. He is objectively perfect, after all. 😇

#PennedPossibilities 704 — Share a scene or two with us that you’re proud of writing.

This scene is from Godhunter. It was tough to find a scene from the series that I love that wasn’t a spoiler, but I do like this one. It’s a scene that epitomizes one of the major themes of the series—that being the high price of forced ignorance, and how much we gain when we truly value curiosity and learning.

(Some context for those who don't know: Bryony is a small-time god, and Michael is a true giant.)

Speak of the Devil’s antagonist intentionally kept the scars he got building Solomon’s Temple as a reminder to never let himself be so weak again.

Bryony: Freedom would be no longer living in fear of the angels.

Michael: Freedom is being able to say no.

Ash: Freedom is an illusion.
