The root of most of the world's problems is the disconnection of individuals from the food process.
Those disconnected people (now almost all of us) see scarcity as *relative* and so are able to feel scarcity even in abundance. That feeling is called: #greed
Our culture teaches us things about ourselves that can be harmful to our own development.
The myths explored on this page:
Myth: Individualism.
Myth: Mind is the self, inhabiting a body.
Myth: Body is a machine.
Myth: Illness is external.
Myth: Old age equates with uselessness.
Truly regenerative investment turns financial capital into natural, social, and spiritual capital.
So it does NOT provide financial returns. Instead, regenerative investment returns a better future.

Children should be in classrooms.
Farming is for peasants.

Modern culture holds on to these kinds of myths even though they are harmful to our #health.
Even the concept of #exercise is a relatively new myth.
Rights make sense politically, but not spiritually.
In this vast and ancient cosmos where all living beings die, no individual being has a right to anything.
From a spiritual standpoint, life is a privilege. It is THE thing we get to do, no matter how it plays out.
Thriving within a healthy community on healthy land is the ultimate manifestation of that privilege.
Anything beyond that is luxury.

Many rural #cohousing initiatives assume a warm climate, where people walk outside between buildings.
These are two early-draft designs for modularly-expandable cohousing buildings that are comfortable and navigable even in the height of winter.
Also with winter in mind, these are designed for passive solar. All units point in the same direction.
So yes, parts of the model could work in the city, but it wouldn’t be the model anymore. All of the parts of the Integration Center model are other peoples’ ideas, and many others are doing each one of them.
The model is about putting all of those things together to make a much stronger and enduring institution; so it needs all of the components as currently-conceived.
However… new ideas, perspectives are always very, very welcome!
