At our Fresno, California, USA insulator collector's gathering I was privileged to handle a one-of-a-kind, #threadless, black-glass, Overland "competition" #telegraph #insulator from the Ormsby County region of the Nevada Territory ca. 1863. The piece was produced in an eastern glass house and traveled by ship to San Francisco in order to find its way into the Nevada Territory. At that time there was no other heavy cargo delivery option. This #USTelCo #Chester is owned by Scott Prall.
