Hands always busy. At the moment I sculpt in polymer clay with main themes: humankind always moved and mixed, and woman's contributions should be more visible.
Retracting from realism, interpretation of an interpretation, Sylvia von Harden by Otto Dix 1926. Still so much, so much to learn about ball joints. #polymerclaysculpt #kineticart #theipca #clayphoria

Polymer clay brooches, inspirered by Metropolis
About 67.800 years ago, in a cave in Sulawesi, some ancient humans placed their hands against the wall and blew a mixture of red-orange pigments and water on it. #polymerclay
Inspired by Babylonian Ishtar gate and Ishtar, god of war and sexual love. Why is that a common combination? She is often pictured with a lion, therefore the hair. Like how the painting on her face got a bit rough. I haven't figured out how best to use glass inclusions. Box 12 cm #polymerclay
Another Katarina Vilioni in polymer clay #fimo. She died in Yangzhou in East China in 1342. Her and her brother's tombstones have been found.
The well-off merchant family must have put down roots in China. During the Yuan Mongol reign, European missionarys and merchants travelled extensively, and the Grand canal city had a large Arab and Persian community.
I have given her her a Byzantine crucifix attached to a string of Chinese pearls. She has a contemporay European hairstyle and Chinese dress.
