Scotland’s Independence supporting radio station, bring you the best of Scottish, music, culture & politics.

That was a fun wee adventure. Aonach Mor via the gondola(*).

Skye loved it.

The Met Office mountain forecast was bollox, as usual. I'm really losing confidence in them. MWIS just as bad. The 'standard forecast' for Aonach Mor summit was slightly better but got the rain badly wrong.

This is a pretty crap phone snap. It might take me a while to sort out proper camera photos.

The octagonal dome on the City Improvement Trust building on the corner of Trongate and Albion Street in Glasgow. Designed by Thomson and Sandilands to house shops and offices, it was built between 1903 and 1912.

Why can’t I copy & paste into my feed or indeed add pictures?? Any help appreciated

Just heard a podcaster say 'this is the end of an era that started ion 1979'.

It's not.

#Starmer is continuity neoliberalism, is continuity Blairism, is continuity Thatcherism.

This will be #Change, Mr Starmer, when we see England's rivers running clear and drinkable from source to sea; when we see new towns thriving on the sites of the former #Heathrow and #Stanstead airports; and Scotland's parliament is free to decide when to hold a referendum on #ScottishIndependence.

A rather beautiful 1860s Italianate former warehouse on Ingram Street in central Glasgow.

Seems that @ScotNational is the only media outlet reporting this. Many folk in England wondering why it's only in one relatively small-circulation Scottish newspaper. Speaks volumes about the cosy relationship between Labour and the media moguls.

We’re told we live in a democracy, but whether we vote for Starmer or Sunak, we’re going to get pretty much the same thing. In this episode, Ben Gliniecki will explain that behind capitalist 'democracy' is the dictatorship of the rich.

If you travel through Queen Street Station in Glasgow on your daily commute. Stop for a moment and take a look up. This is what the capitals on the cast iron columns which support its roof look like!

They're not even bothering to hide it. I really hope that the press looks closely at whoever gets elected for Reform.

Won't hold my breath. They did nothing when the Scottish Tories picked someone from the leaked BNP members list. Or the close association of certain Labour and Tory MSPs to the Orange Order.

"The UK is poorer, sicker and more unsafe. Did the Conservatives break Britain?"

Yes they did, but the important thing to never let go of is that they could never have done it without Labour's active support.

Callaghan, Blair, Starmer, geez thanks

The UK is poorer, sicker and more unsafe than ever. Did the Conservatives break Britain?

When the Conservatives took power in Britain 14 years ago, they took a butcher's knife to budget spending. It was designed to save the country, but did it break it instead?
