Look out - pink means ice! #dlws

The weird thing about this story: if the fire is nearly impossible to access and invisible, how do they it's there??

What's the deal with the current air quality in downtown Toronto?

So I just figured King James gonna King James and moved on, but then started pondering the etymology of the word "butler" itself.

And it turns out it's from the Old French "bouteiller", meaning "cupbearer".

So I guess "butler" might actually make sense if you're coming from Latin!

This continues to be one of my favourite "no context" pictures

FINALLY confirmation that the next season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is going to be airing on CTV Sci-Fi!

So this is interesting: the red is a heat warning and the grey is a frost advisory

If I were choosing a cover photo to promote Call the Midwife, I'd pick something along the lines of this promotional photo.

The main characters are recognizable to regular viewers, the distinctive uniforms might be recognizable to viewers who've seen an episode or two, and the adorable babies will get many readers to pause and take a closer look

This cover photo is a strange editorial decision for Starweek magazine (the Toronto Star's TV guide), because the show they're highlighting is Call the Midwife, but this character hasn't yet appeared on the show (and, according to IMDB, only appears in one episode) so there's no visual recognition for viewers. (Unless they're watching ahead from UK sources, but those viewers would be less likely to be looking at the TV guide)
May have hit a new record for uninformative etymology google results
