Police finally acknowledge misinformation about unarmed protesters.
“I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the incredible pain and trauma this tragedy has caused,” Day said. “In addition, I want to recognize the role the Portland police bureau played in exacerbating that pain.”

#PurchasingStrike when we doing this?

@TCatInReality @MissGayle @charlybrown

A boycott is targeted at a specific company. I'm talking about a coordinated effort to limit consumer spending as a whole. Which is a lot easier and doesn't involve as much personal risk for people who can't go on general strike.

I see that the legacy #media have given up on their weak “claimed without evidence” construct and are now just letting #Trump tell outrage lies without any attempt to communicate to their audiences that he’s full of shit.

This is not good.

Put simply, the white "moderates" decrying "woke" want to use the n-word and shit just as much as their Republican friends and colleagues do.
Every white person in the US is the recipient of extraordinary, unearned privilege, compounded by other degrees of privilege such as affluence, maleness, cis-heteronormativity, and Christianity. Most pretend not to be aware of this, many feel entitled to it, and only a few acknowledge how fucked up it is and try to do something about it.

How do we make a world where children don’t have to worry about where their next meal comes from? Our children, our nieces and nephews, our neighbors’ children… and the children’s children…. They deserve food, safety, and warmth.

Why is the first job of the government not this mission?

Ancient Greece’s democracy didn’t work without slavery. It didn’t work without equal rights for women or without brutality and war. It didn’t work.

Rome: the same.

The USA doesn’t work without being brutally stolen from the First People here, it doesn’t work without land grants from European nobility to a landowning elite, and it doesn’t work without 500 years of slavery to build wealth for only “white” people.

It doesn’t work.
