Watching the new Netflix doc on the Webb telescope and I feel like #NASA is the only thing I feel patriotic about this country for.
Also idk how we can complain about a $9B telescope when we run an annual defense budget over $800B. They could launch 88 Webb telescopes a year and it would be cheaper.
I went to a comedy open mic. Every comedian talked about the same exact shit:
-masturbating alone
-exposing themselves to kids
-fucking animals
-shitting their pants
-killing their parents
-suicide
No originality. Edginess for the sake of it.

Wes, it's OKAY to just make a regular old movie with a story with a single, self contained plot rather than a plot in a plot next to a plot talking to another plot on the phone that is referencing a plot from a nonfiction book about a fictional plot.

If I sign up for the instance lemmy.ml and then from there navigate to the Ask Lemmy community (https://lemmy.ml/c/asklemmy), am I seeing Ask Lemmy content only from my local instance, or from all instances?
I ask because I notice that lemmy.world and others also have Ask Lemmy communities.
