Chips are chunky, fries are skinny... unless you're a merkin, in which case chips are crisps.

And don;t get me started on cookies... because to us... all cookies are biscuits, but not all biscuits are cookies. 😆

@anomnomnomaly, could be a regional thing – thick or thin, they're still chips to me. Only significant difference is that the thin ones go cold quickly.
