Bottlenose Dolphins

A couple of images of them breaching from the sea at Chanonry Point yesterday, in some appalling weather.

The path is slightly raised and heads straight out across the salt marshes. The view back to the village is pretty cute. Also a bit heat hazy because it was HOT. I do love a windmill though.

I picked a bunch of veg and flowers. Now that I’m home and have refilled the vases I just want to chill and drink water. I don’t mind heat but this humidity makes me sleepy and want to riot all at once 🙃

Just going through my photos to delete unneeded screenshots, and came across this. I can't remember exactly what it was for, but I'm taking it as an opportunity to apply to be a puffin. I think I'd quite like that.
Today is family day.
For the first time in a couple of months we are getting together for lunch.
I decided to take a day off from working on our new door. It will be there tomorrow.
I am serving Shirley Temples as a surprise for the grandkids. Canning jars for glasses. They used to love such a treat. I even have reusable straws and bright colored drink umbrellas to hold the cherries.
We are over due for fun and mountains of comfort food.
Time to get back to food prep.
Good morning, Mastodon.

An amusing moment caught on ‘hedgehog cam’ this morning. A moth enters the scene and is spotted by a great tit and robin at the same time.

Why the UK’s butterflies are booming in 2025

Following on from ‘the year without a butterfly’, 2025 has seen sightings soar in the UK and across Europe.
