This week I have a guest blogger at Nutfield Genealogy, James H. McConihe, whose ancestor came from early Nutfield (Londonderry, New Hampshire). James has been researching his ancestry for years, and writes about the struggles with the multiple spellings of McCONIHE. https://nutfieldgenealogy.blogspot.com/2026/06/john-mcconihe-d-1760-nutfield-settler.html #genealogy #FamilyHistory

I just finished updating this blog post from 2009. It was one of the first blog posts I ever wrote. My 4th great grandfather, Jonathan Batchelder (about 1800 - 1847) had a mysterious life, and died insane. I still have many questions about his death and his wife is a brickwall. I learned a few new facts about his ancestry, but I still have a long way to go! https://nutfieldgenealogy.blogspot.com/2009/08/mystery-of-jonathan-batchelder.html #genealogy #FamilyHistory

Robert Wilson, my 5th great grandfather, lived in Salem Village (now the town of Danvers, Massachusetts). He is the 10th ancestor I have featured in this series about the Revolutionary War. He marched on the Lexington Alarm, and is listed in the DAR Patriot's Index. https://nutfieldgenealogy.blogspot.com/2026/03/my-revolutionary-war-patriots-robert.html #genealogy #familyhistory #250th

This is the 9th patriot ancestor I have written about for this series for the 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War. Abner Poland, Jr, b. 1761, served seven years until the Battle of Yorktown. He recieved the Badge of Military Merit from George Washington for his service in 1795, and a military pension. His widow recived a pension, too, after his death. https://nutfieldgenealogy.blogspot.com/2026/05/my-revolutionary-war-patriots-abner_02014071889.html
