I would never drink from the carton if it was a shared thing, but when it's JUST me, I find taking a swig of chocolate milk is way better than just pouring a whole glass. Of course, then I do it like 20 times during the day.
Thing I actually just said: “Stop sniffing his dick! It’s weird, man!”
Context: I’m pet-sitting two dogs.
Maybe I’m just tired and grumpy from allergies/cold, but I really can’t stand the old trope of “Don’t let the wife see my new guitar!” Or equivalent. Just that whole vibe of your partner being a “nag” or antagonist or such. Thankfully my past partners have celebrated such purchases with me. In fact my first Helix was a gift from my then girlfriend.
I only drink tea for my voice when I'm sick and it always goes like this:
Prepare and steep tea.
TOO HOT.
STILL TOO HOT.
Okay tiny sips.
Now we're getting there.
Well now it's just kind of lukewarm and unpleasant.
I feel like about 1/3 of the cup is in the right zone.
Trying to do VO edits with a creaky croaky allergies/cold riddled voice is challenging and frustrating. I think I ended up with 2 usable scripts but the effort was exponentially more than usual.
My personal belief: if you want to be celebrated in death then be someone worth celebrating in life. I do not believe that death automatically makes you deserve respect.
Also something that I really liked about one of my recent VO jobs was that they specifically wanted a human and for it not to sound like something that AI could just spit out. They recognized the humanity in VO and the nuance real actors can give.
12:30 Zoom meeting about a VO job. When do they need them? “ASAP.”
1p Drive home (I’m currently pet/housesitting) to knock them out.
2:30p 3 scripts done and delivered.
BAM! WOOHOO!
Extremely grateful for 2 voiceover jobs this week. I love doing voice work so much and love when people are excited and happy with the results. I just feel in my element and it's such a great feeling to do something and feel like "Hey I'm good at this!"
Cookie loves a good snoot pet.
