There is an obvious misunderstanding by the general public when it comes to Iran reportedly in control of 60% enriched uranium.
“If it’s only 60% enriched then how can they also be only a few weeks away from being weapons-grade capable?”
Because enrichment is not a linear process. Literally 95% of the work and extensive time required to enrich has been accomplished once you reach the 60% barrier. The ease with which they can now push it to 90% should not be taken lightly.
