The gimmick of Capcom Fighting Evolution was awesome, but it was poorly executed. It could've been awesome if they were more strict about sticking to that gimmick. Like I would've wanted SF2 Ryu to be an SF2 sprite. I would've wanted the game to be stupid broken in its balancing.
I still think it's an idea worth exploring again.
