I'm a Games User Researcher and PhD candidate focused on game accessibility. I also work with teaching and manage a mental health service. I've contributed to various games including Life is Strange 2, Onrush & Surviving Mars.

I play games, own a dog, skate and love music and film. I'm happy to chat and toot about anything related to the above. Also if you want advice on getting into games and games user research as a field, feel free to reach out.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but an economy controlled by a handful of oligarchs isn't a "free market."

Messed with the migration feature and lost all my followers. :( So, here's an #introduction for #introductions.

I'm a #gamedev that works as a user researcher and #accessibility specialist. I've previously worked on #videogames like #lifeisstrange 2
& #Survivingmars.

I'm now on a mission to understand and help with the challenges associated with making increasingly accessible games.

The #NHS is honestly in such a terrible state. I feel so bad for anyone that's already vulnerable or unwell because I dread becoming sick right now. I dislocated my knee last year and had to wait on the floor in agony for about 90 minutes waiting for an ambulance. People are now having heart attacks and waiting the same length of time.

Alright. So I lost all my followers.

I migrated account to gamedev.space, and that place seems nice but everyone just seems to post about gamedev and I would feel too conscious posting all my off topic stuff.

I also, didn't realise that you can't migrate your posts. So they're effectively all gone? That's really not so great.

So, I moved back.

But, it only migrated my followers in one direction, and it won't seem to move them back as it says it can't find this account. #mastodon

Well, the new #NeedforSpeed looks kind of ridiculous. #VideoGames.

I might pick this one up over the holidays. It's been a while since I played a decent racing game.

One of the tasks that's just been sitting in my Notion task manager for years just reads 'Create a real plan' with no other details.

I think what this was getting at is that my plans were always made with the mindset that they were built for specific people and milestones rather than actually the plan I wanted to make for me.

This is a pretty nice list for the 'top 30' games of 2022. How many of these have you played? Just a handful for me. #VideoGames

It's been a real year, huh?

I hope we see more from the series sometime soon. I heard the last game was cancelled for a Star Wars game (which was also eventually cancelled).

Thought I'd give this a go since it seems like good fun! #7GamesToKnowMe

Such a tricky one I think as there have been so many games that have impacted my life and resonated with me. I was also lucky to get to work on two of these franchises already.

Watched #thepatient on Netflix for tonight's movie. Honestly, it's pretty crap. A thriller murder mystery that's predictable from the start. It has nothing to show the viewer that they haven't seen before or can't anticipate, and it's terribly slow to do so with some dreadful pacing. The performances are decent but that's pretty irrelevant when the movie itself is as dull as this is.
