There was a time when I believed in the common decency of man, but now we have the internet.
So having been a pretty early adopter of #mastodon (i started in 2017, very soon after it opened to the public) and now having used #Bluesky for several months, i do think other than the cultural aspects, Bluesky has a few key advantages:
1. The “tech” of its federation is essentially invisible to the end user. Onboarding, self-administrating, etc are all easier.
2. And corollary to that, the federation aspects being in the background make Mastodon’s petty-fiefdom problem non-existent, imo
Is mastodon also getting an influx from #Brazil or is it just Bluesky?

I really wish mastodon was more shit-post friendly. Not like, too much shit-posting, but just enough to be more fun. Threads is kinda a drag of constant self promotion and blue sky is too much like old Twitter.
