When I planned my visit to the tower, I was excited to see the famous ravens but I never expected to get close enough to snap a portrait like this. Happily, they are used to humans and very obliging when shown the appropriate abundance of awe and reverence.

AND, did you know that peacocks are adept at hunting and killing snakes?
