I am an "old." 53 going on 13. I am a former US Navy Submariner. (Nuke). Having just had my first heart attack, I no longer can be concerned about stressful things. I am only in control of my own feelings. That being said, I am open to new friends of all types. I'm into science, astronomy, astrophotography, gaming, riding motorcycles and punk rock.
S.T.E.F.A.N.I just found out 'firkin' is a word, it sounds like it should be a bawdy word, but it is a wooden vessel or unit of measurement. That's a firkin disappointment.

Flat frames correct vignetting, dust shadows and uneven illumination. But what ADU level should you actually aim for?
The answer depends on your camera's bit depth and offset value. The formula: ADU Target = Offset + (Max ADU - Offset) x 0.50

light post-processing, purposefully. You can almost see the tidal tail of NGC3628 (upper right) but to show it properly I'll need way more integration time I guess.
Pretty happy with this one. May come back to it to do different post-processings.
