A coal industry front group which has received millions of dollars of funding from North Dakota, the Lignite Energy Council, has jumped state lines to wage a campaign to weaken a bill in Minnesota that would require the state’s utilities to transition to 100% clean electricity by 2040.
The Lignite Energy Council is fighting for its right to pollute and to profit from producing dirty electricity.
