Decided to jump in with a Workplace haiku today-

Petty behaviour
I should remain unbothered
I wish for karma

While we didn’t see Elephants or some of the other animals, overall, we had a great time.

We stayed in some cute lodges, had a variety of food, including crocodile, and enjoyed clean air and the second clearest skies in the world.

Namibia also has a large nature reserve: #etoshanationalpark. It’s great for safari. Because of all the rain, the #animals had spread out away from the waterholes and as we are not allowed to leave the roads, we didn’t see as many animals as usual. That doesn’t mean we didn’t have some brilliant views. Rhino, lions, giraffe, and more.

Namibia also has a brilliant set of #petroglyphs including the “Lion Man”, which is a representation of a Shaman changed into a lion.

While the #Deadvlei trees are not #petrified there are petrified trees in Namibia. They are heavier than normal rocks and sometimes glitter due to the quartz. You can count the tree rings on some of the petrified wood.

Have a few more sea-side #animals.

Flamingos, black backed jackals, pelicans and more seals :)

I feel it never hurts to post more cute #seal photos!

#namibia isn’t all sand. The country borders the ocean. The #skeletoncoast - known for shipwrecks due to the rough seas - and a thriving salt production industry (they joking call the salt mountains, “the Namibian Everest of Salt”) are both ocean side sights. And they also have an area where you can kayak with #seals
