Very interesting table showing which #Wayland compositor supports which Wayland protocols. I was surprised to see that #gnome's #mutter has implemented substantially fewer protocols than #KDE's #KWin, and also #Sway, #Cosmic, #Hyprland, #Niri, #Labwc, #Wayfire, #Tray, and #Treeland. I am particularly surprised, because the Wayland experience in Gnome is mostly flawless and smooth.

What are the benefits for Geany of porting it to GTK4?
The editor/IDE #Geany is still #GTK3 and the hampering factor was that the editing engine #scintilla wasn't ported to GTK4 but it exists now.
However, one of the main developers questions, if there are any benefits at all in porting Geany to GTK4:
"I wonder if anyone would find motivation for this. As said in #3675, in my personal opinion there are no benefits at all in GTK4."

This week's #Ubuntu update changes the color of #Gnome top panel dialogs. Does anyone experience the same?
I use #Ubuntu2404 (fresh install) with the default theme. The Gnome dialogs of the top panel were always dark grey, while other applications were light grey. I like this very much. Now, after an update this week, suddenly the top panel dialogs are light and not dark anymore (see photos). I did not change any setting. Does anyone experience the same? How can I fix this? Or is this a bug?

I just added a bug entry on #Mastodon's github repository, because the Pinned Hashtag feature does not work anymore with multiple hashtags. It omits many toots that fulfil the search criteria (hashtags). This used to work fine and is a regression.
