@franklinlopez More reach? Sure. Better reach? I feel like my Fedi interactions are the most genuine I've had on the internet since the mid 2000s. Mastodon has meant more to me than ANY social media ecosystem.

They lure people in with engagement, then shadowban, censor, and sanitize once the politics get too real — especially when it comes to #Palestine.

Investing time and energy into these corporate-lite platforms is a trap. We’ve seen it over and over: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok — now BlueSky. It’s the same playbook with new branding.

Mastodon isn’t perfect, but at least it's not selling you out the second you speak truth.

"Encrypted"? Yeah, right!

So I came across a video provider that's supposed to serve encrypted videos and claims them to be un-downloadable.

Since I was curious, I tried to decrypt the streams and by using the ANCESTRAL DECRYPTING POWER of "Putting the stream file into VLC" I managed to defeat their state of the art #encryption and play their #video just fine.

Makes you think about what some companies tell you, VS what's actually the case. So, be careful about sharing sensitive data, even if they tell you it's secure!

For mig har Linux altid været noget for nørder, der har forstand på teknik, hvilket absolut ikke er tilfældet for mig 😄
I de sidste måneder fik jeg en stadig mere ubehagelig fornemmelse ved tanken om, at alle mine filer ligger i en amerikansk cloud. Først skiftede jeg til Imformaniak, og arbejdsområdet er simpelthen fantastisk, og det var virkelig så nemt. Og til sidst blev jeg overbevist om, at Linux heller ikke er et operativsystem kun for professionelle. Jeg kommer fint ud af det med Cinnamon fra Mint. Man skal vænne sig lidt til det, men systemet er også meget mere logisk og overskueligt opbygget.
Allerede hos Imformaniak var jeg glad for, at jeg endelig kunne arbejde uden det konstant kørende AI-ikon.
Når jeg endelig finder tid, vil jeg overføre One Cloud til min nye cloud og derefter opsige Windows. Nu hvor også de offentlige myndigheder i Danmark skifter, vil jeg forhåbentlig ikke have brug for det længere.
