A twelve-year-old redesigned safety for the New England cotton industry. A man stole her work; she buried him in court with blueprints and witnesses over sixteen days. She held 27 patents, co-founded an all-women car company at 74, and died worth $275.05. Margaret Knight, the ghost of American invention.

There are well-known companies I would’ve once worked but now have no desire to due to their practices but I understand why friends would work there. However, there are well-known companies now that I just don’t think I could be friends with someone who works there. X and Palantir, for example.
There's this Calvin and Hobbes strip where Calvin's dad says that if we actually wanted more leisure time, we'd invent machines that did things more slowly, and I think about it all the time.

Zo daar zijn we weer hoor met een nieuwsbrief! Boordevol leesplezier, niet alleen van mij deze keer..., maar van andere leraren en van de scholieren bij LAKS en de geniale AI-terms van @joeposaurus
