Just did my part for the #Victorian #TeacherStrike! Trains all down on my line, so I helped some out of towners get in to the rally, with my knowledge of local transport.
Cheered them on on the bus, which is part of the rally imho!!
10s of thousands of them will be turning up at parliament this morning.
Media is reporting that they're rejecting an 18% pay rise, but that money comes with unlimited overtime, not being paid for school camps, less lesson planning time and more out of hours meetings. A teacher I spoke to this morning said she was up until 5am Monday morning preparing lessons, and that's not the first time this term.
In highschool my teachers were basically my parents. When I moved out of home, I cooked dinner for my teachers to have at my new home.
I even went to a teacher's wedding, and I've gone to a funeral.
Listening to how disproportionately hard our Vic teachers have it here, I teared up.

Going to be historic footage today.
