It varies.
In my #OnTheForest series, it is absolutely world to premise. I was immersed in the Big Horn Mountains even before I began writing about them.
In my #AlongTheRiver adventure (of #TimeTravelAuthors fame), the premise absolutely created the world.

I wrote 2,373 words today. A bit of a mish-mash among a few different things, but I did get some new stuff started. It's good to keep things chugging along.
And here we have a snippet of today's writing. Another short story is in the works, though I've still got more to edit. Maybe tomorrow.

I generally have an outline that I work through and create scenes from, almost a Zero Draft of sorts... kinda. That's if I'm not just freeballing it and going off the top of my head but that's rare.
