Escapee from the toxic cesspit that is the World of Elon Musk/X. Against injustice, inspired by Permaculture, committed to Green politics, looking to connect and learn from other, wiser folk. Trying make a positive contribution in my own small corner of the planet by supporting biodiversity, and posting pics of nature. Also reposting stories about climate action, what decent humans out there are actually doing to make it better. Oh, forgot to mention art, photography, literature. 😊
Okay, not so thick, but beautiful - a beech tree in Queen's Wood, North London, and host to a forest of crust fungi #ThickTrunkTuesday #fungi #nature #naturephotography

A park, White Hart Lane, North London.

Always fascinating to see nature fight back and reclaim the space when humans give up. This former pond with a concrete base is being rapidly populated with grey willow saplings, just like the mature tree that stands tall on the other side. If the humans continue to do nothing, trees will trump concrete, and it will soon be a forest.... #trees #rewilding #nature

Plastic usage is increasing dramatically & we've got to face up to fixing the system we've created. We covered all that and more on a recent Rare Earth:

Carole Cadwalladr's advice on dealing with the life in the Trump-Muskworld. Worth a share, I think. Particularly, like number 19 on using humour as a weapon...
