Kitten care guide says: "In week 3, introduce a litter box. They probably won't use it yet, but they will explore. Make sure they don't eat the litter." So that's what I do now whenever they're awake (which is not that much, fortunately, they still mostly sleep) - try to keep the litter out of their mouths. They sure are getting lively 😸
Decided to try and go mushroom hunting today. We didn't find many, but those we did find were worth it ☺️
I switched places with Mr EntangledPear and now sleep on the veranda with the cats. I might be tired, since Maybug, the hungry mama cat, wakes me up several times a night, I might be depressed because of the RPG Maker forum situation, but these little uncoordinated Maybuglets never fail to make me smile.

Did you know that a cat can go into heat just two weeks after giving birth? We didn't. I almost rushed Maybug to the vet because of sudden weird behaviour 🙀 Now she meows at night, not letting me sleep 😭 and is very affectionate not towards us, but our shoes 🤔 Fortunately, we can usually distract her by pointing her towards the kittens.
You don't say no to elderly gentleman when he comes for the rare cuddles. You sit there, no matter how long, no matter how uncomfortably, till he's satisfied - and you savour the moment ❤️
(In other news, kittens are 2 weeks old now, doing fine. Maybug is taking care of them, and eating more than the three resident cats combined.)
