The term is in the air… and the sensory experience is in your body.

(In many ways, #Proprioception is the true “Sixth Sense”. Similar to, say, “savoury” (aka `umami`), it’s one of those concepts which help you understand your own experiences. Even in a cultural context focused on sight and, to a certain extent, on sound.)

@brentsimmons @NetNewsWire @daringfireball Thank you so much! Thought it was meant to be an intended feature change.
@brentsimmons @NetNewsWire @daringfireball Starring an item would make the star visible, whether the item is read or unread. Now, only read items (excluded by my filter) appear with stars.

Y’know when that *one* feature which makes your workflow gel suddenly disappears? That’s my experience with the way @NetNewsWire changed ‘star’ and ‘unread’. As far as I’m concerned, the app has lost its core functionality.
As much credit and leeway as I can give @brentsimmons (and the designer behind some of this change), problems in User Experience come from changes which haven’t been worked through with users.

@daringfireball Initially read this as “reports to Gurman”. 😉
@Downes @thoughtshrapnel Fair point.
Granted, somewhat may have used all of these in the same year.
I think I may have had one while living in the US in the late 1990s. Probably did still use all of the other items at that time. (Rarely used a waterbed. The one I remember was from that place, in 1998.)
@atpfm The original quote:
> The Plural of Anecdote is Data https://quoteinvestigator.com/2017/12/25/data/
The focus on the later “not data” quote @siracusa makes sense in context. Remains important to recognize diverse approaches to the humble datum. #Epistemology

@thoughtshrapnel Burying the lede? We want to hear everything about this gig!
As for the tool, it’s a valid attempt at finding a digital solution to an issue which has wide social implications. #Playlistism
