Greetings everyone.
Please enjoy this recent conversation with my nephew Ruben.
Ruben was born and lives in Switzerland, but spent many years in the US living in alternative and sustainable communities.
Issues we discuss range from banks to tech layoffs to countries arming themselves for the next world war to American fascism to social media manipulation to artificial intelligence. With a lot else thrown in.
Doom is complicated.
Hi Everyone ...
Long time, sorry.
Here is my latest video on YouTube -- chatting with Sam Mitchell about the collapse of a planet:

My most recent post to my blog, "How Many Hiroshima Bombs per Second?"
Enjoy!

Okay everyone, live on YouTube for the California rainpocalypse tomorrow (01-14-2023) at 2PM Pacific Time.
Ask me anything!
Sam Mitchell interviewed me a couple of weeks back when he was in town and just now posted the interview -- Thank you Sam!
Please consider subscribing to Sam's excellent YouTube channel, Collapse Chronicles.
Here is the interview:
The loss of global sea-ice is a real-time planetary catastrophe unfolding right now.
As of January 1, 2023:
Arctic: 4th lowest extent.
Antarctic: 1st lowest extent.
Global: 1st lowest extent.
This is pretty amazing -- using JAXA data and Excel, I created this picture of the average deviation of each date from the average sea-ice extent for that day in the Arctic, 1978-2022. The picture is tragic and beautiful.
Your 'moment of doom' for Dec. 30, 2022 ~ Following the odds, the insurance companies are doing what they need to do to stay profitable (for now).
"When a mainstream, conservative publication like the Insurance Journal publishes an article that reads like a doom & gloom rejoinder to climate deniers, inclusive of several right-wingnut Republicans, one must wonder what the hell’s really going on in the world"
